1 Uma oração relativa (relative clause):
descreve o seu antecedente (1) numa oração principal
começa por um pronome relativo (ex. who, which, whose)
(1) entende-se por antecedente uma pessoa ou algo
Exemplo 1:
I saw the girl who was here yesterday.
Eu vi a rapariga que esteve cá ontem.
onde:
I saw the girl = oração principal
who was here yesterday = oração relativa
the girl = antecedente da oração relativa
who = pronome relativo
Exemplo 2:
I live in a big house which is in the countryside.
Eu vivo numa casa grande que fica no campo.
onde:
I live in a big house = oração principal
which is in the countryside = oração relativa
a big house = antecedente da oração relativa
which = pronome relativo
Exemplo 3:
The book, whose cover is torn, is mine.
O livro, cuja capa está rasgada, é meu.
onde:
The book is mine = oração principal
whose cover is torn = oração relativa
The book = antecedente da oração relativa
whose = pronome relativo

Complete cada uma das frases com uma oração relativa restritiva, utilizando os seguintes pronomes relativos which, who, whose, where.
Exemplo:
The car was found last week. It has been stolen again.
The car which was found last week has been stolen again.

» The hotel was fabulous. We stayed there.
The hotel 2 was fabulous.
» The raincoat belongs to Mr. Smith. It was found in the hotel room.
